I Am a prism of obsidian (2020)

I Am a Prism of Obsidian is a minimalist barbershop consisting of a sound piece, black acrylic plastic, barber chair, obsidian rocks, and a prism shaped barber pole. The space channels the themes of black havens and positive energies. Obsidian (which lays around the chair like shaven black hair) is a natural element that brings forth truth and repels negativity. Made in conjunction with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, its simplistic design leaves leeway for imagination and child interaction.
